A quote, a name, or a cheeky inside joke — everything looks better when printed on real ceramic. And let’s be honest: designing it yourself just hits differently. So, roll up your sleeves (or don’t), open Canva or Photoshop, and create your very own tile design in minutes.

Step 1 – Set up your canvas

Standard tile size: 150 × 150 mm (≈ 6 × 6 inches). Create a new document in Canva or Photoshop at 160 × 160 mm. Leave bleed around the edges to keep your text safely inside.

💡 Pro tip: add a faint guide or border at 150 x 150 mm so you can see where your “safe zone” is.

Step 2 – Pick your vibe

Are you feeling classic Delft blue, minimal black-and-white, or color-pop modern?Start by setting the mood: background color, texture, and style.

Works well:

• soft beige, off-white, or light gray backgrounds

• gentle paper or ceramic textures

• plenty of white space (tiles like to breathe)

Step 3 – Add your text

Now for the fun part: your message!Think:

• A funny quote (“Soft is the new strong.”)

• A personal saying (“Who tiles, stays.”)

• Or something simple like a name + date

Choose a readable font.Good Canva options: Playfair Display, Montserrat, or Raleway — all tile-friendly.Have your own font? Upload it, or send me a sample — I’ll match it perfectly on ceramic.

Step 4 – Export your design

Happy with the result? Download it as:

• PDF (Print) or

• PNG 300 dpi with transparent background

Make sure it’s in CMYK mode for true-to-life colors when printed.
